Low-Carbohydrate Chaffle Waffles

Chaffle cheese waffles are easy to make and a delicious alternative to bread. The chaffles are made with three ingredients: mozzarella, egg and almond flour. The waffles have a neutral taste. This makes it possible to make both savory and sweet waffles with this recipe.

  • 60 gr grated mozzarella
  • 1  tbsp almond flour
  • 1 egg
  • butter or coconut oil for greasing
  • 20 gr grated cheese (mozzarella or Gouda)
  1. Heat the waffle iron and grease it with a little butter or coconut oil.

  2. Meanwhile, mix the 60 g grated mozzarella, almond flour and the egg in a bowl.

  3. Sprinkle a little bit of grated cheese (mozzarella or Gouda) on the waffle iron and then add the batter. Then sprinkle some grated cheese on top of the waffle and close the waffle iron. Bake the cheese wafer for approx. 6-8 minutes in the waffle iron.
