Lettuce Wraps Filled with Asian Minced Meat
This amazing recipe consists of lettuce wraps filled with Asian seasoned minced meat, which are easily digestible, healthy and super yummy! These lettuce wraps are also very tasty when cold. The lettuce wraps are easy to take with you for your lunch either at your workplace, study or out for a picnic. These lettuce wraps are filled with ground beef, vegetables and hoisin sauce. If you do not take red meat, you can fill the wraps with minced chicken. You can give this delicious recipe a trial in your kitchen!
- 12 large lettuce leaves
- 500 gr ground beef
- 50 ml hoisin sauce
- 1/2 diced redbell pepper
- 1 small onion, diced
- 4 stalks of spring onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, chopped
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tbsp ginger powder
- 1 tbsp white wine vinegar
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- salt and pepper to taste
- cucumber and carrot, cut into strips
Clean and pat the lettuce leaves dry cautiously so that they donot tear. In a large frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over highheat. Add the bell pepper and onion and fry for 3 minutes. Add theminced meat and fry for another 5 minutes.
After 5 minutes of cooking, pour the fat out of the pan and put the frying pan backon a slightly lower heat. Season with salt and pepper. Next, add the garlic, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, chili powder, ginger and vinegar. Cookthis until the sauce has thickened, about 3-4 minutes
Finally add the spring onion. Then put the fried minced meatin a big bowl and prepare the lettuce leaves. Spoon the meat into thelettuce leaves and serve. Garnish with cucumber and carrot strips if you wish.
