Tilapia Fillet with Almond Crust

This is a very tasty fish dish high in protein and low in carbohydrates suitable for the whole family. Instead of bread crumbs, almond flour is used to give the fish a crispy crust. If you want to use less fat, bake the tilapia fillets in the oven instead of frying them in the pan.

  • 4 tilapia fillets (150 gr each)
  • 1 egg
  • 120 gr almond flour
  • 80  gr grated parmesan cheese
  • 15 gr flour
  • 4 lemon wedges
  • 4 sprigs of parsley
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp lemon pepper
  • salt to taste
  1. Beat the medium egg in a bowl. Add the lemon pepper and garlic powder to the bowl and mix. Place the bowl separately and take another bowl and mix the almond flour with 40 gr parmesan cheese.

  2. Sprinkle the tilapia fillets with flour and shake off the excess flour. Dip the tilapia fillets in the egg mixture and then in the almond mixture.

  3. Sprinkle the fillets with salt to taste and the remaining parmesan cheese. Bake them in the oven at 220 degrees for 12-15 minutes.

  4. Serve the tilapia fillets with the lemon wedges and parsley sprigs. Hearty appetite!
